Lianne & Her Gang
On an unusually hot and sunny October day, I had the pleasure of photographing Lianne and her two horses; Gucci and Chez and her 3 ponies; Minty, Honey and Rupert for an equestrian photoshoot. The shoot was a Wedding Gift from her Husband (which I also photographed), and she was so excited to finally have the chance to capture these special moments with her beloved equines.
Lianne's horses, a striking leopard appaloosa gelding named Gucci and a chestnut gelding named Chez, are both very special to her. Gucci is the older of the two horses, and has been with Lianne for most of his lifetime. Chez is the more energetic of the two, and was rescued by Lianne. Rupert and Honey’s are Mum ans Son, Minty is the smallest pony with bags of character!
Lianne's friend Jess, was also on hand to help out during the shoot. Carol of Little Beginnings Photography, captured some amazing behind-the-scenes photos of the session too. Even the yard cat made an appearance at the end to pose in the sunshine.
The shoot took place on privately owned land in Crowle where Lianne keeps her gang. The location was perfect for an equestrian shoot, with a large open field, and the horses were all very relaxed and fab to work with. I'm so glad that I had the opportunity to capture these special moments for Lianne.
The bond between a woman and her horses is one that is truly special. There is a sense of trust and understanding that exists between them that is often hard to find in other relationships. Horses provide their owners with companionship, love, and support, and they are also a source of joy and excitement.
Lianne had planned to do some bareback shots on Gucci and Chez. Both boys were calm and comfortable before and when Lianne got on. We had Jess and Carol just out of shot nearby and as we were in their usual field, they were very familiar with the surroundings and relaxed during this part of the shoot.
Lianne’s shoot was a beautiful way to capture the love between Lianne and her equines. As part of her package, Lianne received all of the images on a USB. These photos are a testament to the special bond that they share, and they will be a cherished memory for generations to come.
