Goodbye Studio, Hello Horses!

I've always loved horses. I remember when I was a little girl, I started taking riding lessons, and quickly fell in love with the sport. I loved the sense of freedom that came with riding, and I loved the challenge of learning new things.

In my early 20’s I had the opportunity to ride a stunning 17.2 bay called Heartley.  He taught me so much and was such a gentleman, but unfortunately his injury that had caused him to retire from Eventing, caught up with him and even though our friendship was short it was still so special.

This period of my life was when I first started photographing Horses at competitions.  Just being around them again healed my heart and I started looking for a ride-share locally.

This is when I met Gingo, a handsome Bay thoroughbred.  I became good friends with his owner Shelby. Gingo also taught me so much, including how to gallop (unintentionally), but he was a lot of fun to ride!

In 2017 I opened my first Photography studio in Brigg.  I worked full time doing Weddings, Portrait Shoots, Family Shoots and more.  In 2022 I moved my studio to Goole which was closer to where I lived.

Recently, I had to make a difficult decision.  My priorities have completely changed from when I first got my studio as I now have a toddler (and yes she’s into Horses too!).  I’ve always felt so comfortable and content around Horses and I’ve invested a lot into Equestrian photography, training with two of the UK’s most respected Equine photographers. It felt like the natural way that my career was going but I wasn’t going to have the time to spend in my studio anymore.  So I’ve decided to close it down and focus on Equestrian Lifestyle Shoots.  It’s what I love and combines two of my favourite things in the World, so I’m really excited for this new chapter.

I love working with horses, and I love creating beautiful Art for those who are lucky enough to share a bond with a Horse. If you're thinking about making a change in your life, I encourage you to follow your dreams. Don't be afraid to take risks, and don't be afraid to follow your heart. You never know where it might lead you.
