Rebecca and Winnie: A Dynamic Duo and their HOYS24 debut!

Rebecca, an experienced Equestrian with a passion that began at an early age, has been in the saddle since she can remember. Her journey with Winnie, a stunning 5-year-old Palomino mare, began when Winnie was just a mere 3-year-old. From the very start, Rebecca took the reins, backing and training Winnie herself. This hands-on approach has cultivated a bond that is as strong as it is beautiful.

Together, Rebecca and Winnie have achieved remarkable feats. They've soared through the show ring, with Winnie taking it all in her stride and proving she certainly is a Horse of a Lifetime.

We chose to do Rebecca’s Equestrian photoshoot on the yard where Winnie was kept.  It was an incredibly windy day in April, but we made it work for some dramatic and alluring wind swept shots.  Winnie was an absolute star even with it blowing a gale.  I loved Rebecca’s choice of styling, with a selection of capes to create a different look each time, she channelled old charm and luxury in Fairfax & Favour boots, a detailed white blouse and leather gloves.

We used Winnie’s stable to capture some simple quiet moments spent together and used one of the fields for some shots with a little colour from the scattering of dandelions.  We finished back in the stable doorway with a change of coat, as the wind really started to pick up towards the end of the shoot.

This year, their partnership reached new heights as they qualified for the prestigious Horse of the Year Show (HOYS). We were all so excited for Winnie’s debut at HOYS as they prepared to compete in the highly competitive ‘Search for a Star Riding Horse/Hack class’. Their hard work and dedication paid off, and they returned home with an impressive 3rd place finish.

Beyond Winnie, Rebecca's Equestrian family includes two other beloved horses, Robbie and Ki. Each horse holds a special place in her heart, and together, they form a harmonious team.

Rebecca's story is an inspiration to aspiring Equestrians. It's a testament to the power of passion, perseverance, and the unbreakable bond between a rider and their horse. As she continues to pursue her Equestrian dreams, I can't wait to see what the future holds for Rebecca and Winnie.

Investing in a professional equestrian photoshoot is more than just taking pretty pictures; it's about capturing the unique connection you share with your horse. These photos become cherished memories, freezing a moment in time that you can revisit again and again. They showcase the beauty and athleticism of your horse, as well as the special bond you've cultivated together. Whether you're a competitive rider or simply enjoy spending time with your equine companion, a professional photoshoot creates lasting works of art that you'll treasure for a lifetime, celebrating the partnership and love you share.
